Mobility and Exchange
The InTRES Platform intends to facilitate mobility and exchange of participants between member institutions. This includes, in particular, targeted research stays that enable researchers to strengthen collaborations between the natural and social sciences as well as between institutions in the Global North and South, to integrate and advance knowledge, and to share facilities. It promotes exchange of early-career and senior scientists. Joint workshops are supported to build mutual capacities and strengthen inter- and transdisciplinary networks between scientists and between scientists and societal experts.
The service promotes equitable partnerships. It currently offers administrative support. Financial and logistical arrangements can be negotiated between the sending and the receiving institutions. A generally accessible funding mechanism could be established in the future by the InTRES Platform’s General Assembly.
